Mamma Mia the Musical!
I went and saw the Mamma Mia Musical yesterday. It was at Fair Park in Dallas. What a great show! The music was great, the actors were great! I went with my mom and a friend from work; it was so nice to have a girl’s day out. We got there early, walked around, relaxed and visited over a beautiful brunch. The food was wonderful and they had something for just about everyone. You started with choices of salads, fruits, and cheeses. The second course had choices of eggs, hash browns; bacon, sausage, lamb, baked cod and roast, there were some other dishes there with very fancy names too. They also had a place where you could have an omelet made if you wanted one. All the food was great and I tried a little of everything even if I didn’t know the name. To top it off there was a huge selection of desserts. You defiantly didn’t go to lose weight!
The musical was very high energy. The music was great and after seeing the movie, which I absolutely loved, I was a little concerned that I would be disappointed but I wasn’t and I would see it again. You could hear people all throughout the audience singing along with each song. The only disappointing part, if I had to pick one, was when it ended; I never wanted it to end!
Having a son that is starting his SR year in high school today the most touching part was where mamma sang to the daughter “Slipping through my fingers” yea I had tears. You’re excited for your children when they grow into adulthood but at the same time you’re sad. You cherish every moment of their growing up but then it doesn’t seem that there is ever enough time to do all you want to do. I don’t know that it is ever fair to ask a parent “what would be your favorite time of your child’s growing up years?” For me that would be too hard to answer because there are too many special memories for each stage.
The musical is worth the money and the time to see. If it comes to your area and you have the opportunity don’t turn it down, this is defiantly one to put on your “must see” list!
