Boost your heath with berries!
Now I haven’t tired any of these myself, but found this very interesting reading and if you like blackberries, strawberries, blueberries or raspberries then I say eat away! Who knows you might actually find a little health benefit too!
Blackberries: A study from Ohio State University Comprehensive Care Center shows blackberries contain phytochemicals that are said to turn off hundreds of genes that tell cancer to grow.
Strawberries: According to a study done by the University of Alabama, strawberries are loaded with vitamin C, which helps block the production of stress hormones such as cortisol.
Blueberries: University of Michigan researches led a study, showing antioxidant-rich blueberries change how the body stores and processes sugar for energy. In their research showed that animals and humans who were on a diet loaded with blueberries lost more weight around their middle after 90 days than those who didn’t eat the berries.
Raspberries: the ellagic acid in them protects skin from sun damage by blocking enzymes that break down collagen and cause inflammation.
