Sheep on the London Bridge?
Wow the things you can learn just reading the newspaper or searching the internet news! I get up this morning early to get my cup of coffie and get some things done on the internet. We have baseball games later this morning and will be gone most of the day.
I start searching through todays news articles and come across one that is pretty intersting. Both the Press Association and the Norwich Evening News 24 both have articles about sheep crossing the London Bridge! Evidently they have a huge festival every year and part of the festival hold the historic tradition of allowing visitors to wonder the London Bridge tax free while enjoying other fun activities and entertainment. The London Bridge is a big part of the city’s history as it was the first stone bridge to cross the River Thames.
They will completly close the London Bridge today to make it’s 800th anniversary of the compeletion of the bridge. In the historic tradition of the walking of the sheep across the bridge. Lord Mayor will exercise his right, along with Liverymen and freemen to lead these baaing creatures across the river tax free.
Wonder what the sheep think of all this? Pretty sure they don’t understand the historic tradition but I’m possitive they know that there is grain in that bucket and will pretty much follow anyone to get to it!
